Port Dalhousie, ON @ My Cottage

Yesterday night was mine and Brad's sister's birthday party. Our actual birthday is July 27th....mark that down. So, it was a really late, hard on the organs night for everybody. That made waking up today bad news...but we did it, we are professionals after all. I know early is 5am to normal people, but I usually get up at noon...so this 9:30am wake up was shitty. Today was good fun though, we hung out and entertained each other with words and stories, ate some good food and were treated superbly by Bubba (My Cottage's Manager). We sat near the volleyball court underneath the trees and waited to play...the show started much later than scheduled, but it was all good. The crowd was an especially stunned looking group of hung over, sun burnt, cottage goers (generally speaking)....but a-okay in my books. We had a good, nice guy come up and sing a song with us as well, fun show. After the set we packed up our gear and hung out for 54-40's set. I/we got far too drunk for a mid-day show and I think I even managed to scare away a couple people looking to buy our merch with my crazy eyes and something else (ask me in person and I'll tell you). That's all. -Adam.

Buffalo, NY @ Lafayette Square

Every Thursday in the summer, Buffalo has a free evening concert in Lafayette Square in the heart of the city. The series is called "Thursday In The Square"...I just realized the initials spell "tits"....not trying to be the funnyman or making a joke, I just noticed...that's all. Okay, so...we had a some beers and hung around for quite a while. We were told there was going to be a big turnout and in the middle of the first band's set it wasn't looking that way, but then it started to slowly fill up, little by little and eventually there was somewhere between 8,000 and 12,000 people...maybe more, counting heads wasn't going to happen. Anyways, our set was a lot of fun, it's fun playing to 10 people, but playing to a ton of folks is a lot of fun. That's the first time I've called people folks. We also met some great people. Hi. Ate really hot (temperature hot) pizza. Oh, and most importantly, The Count was there, but you probably don't know who that is. Be good Buffalo. -Adam.

Ottawa, ON @ Zaphod Beeblebrox

We always stay in the same dive motel in Ottawa every time we play here, it's become our Ottawa home. The rooms usually have a strange musty/bad ventilation/old food smell. They slightly vary...only because of mismatched furniture. The TVs just get by...barely. This room tonight had some graffiti on the wall near the bathroom...not good graffiti, it was stuff like SM+KN 4EVER, Terry & Kim BFF, etc. My favorite feature in dive motel/hotel rooms is the mandatory bottle opener crudely screwed to the bathroom's tile wall, just underneath the light switch. Another great thing about this place is the good pizza shop twenty steps away from the parking lot and the Salvation Army store oddly attatched to the side of the building near the motel's front lobby.....About the show: The show was great and a lot of fun!! We had a messy/boozy encore. Met some cool people etc. Good fun! Thank you Ottawa. -Adam.

St.Catherines, ON @ Level 3 (Scene Festival)

There was a big merch area set up for all the bands, there were probably 50 tables full. It was sort of the central spot for the festival. We showed up around 2pm and set up our merch. Drank some beers, sat in the insane heat, ate hot dogs, sushi, went to shows, drank water and on and on. It was a really hot, long day and to be honest we were wiped out early and were looking forward to our air conditioned bedrooms. We got to the venue around 7pm and went on a little later. While we were setting up on the stage there were a few people there. Then about a minute into our set, the room filled right up. Really great crowd, great turnout, great set. So in the end we had a good day.....Well worth the extreme length and heat. The stage heat here finally beat out the reigning champ - Call The Office in London, I never thought a stage could get hotter than that....but it did. Hardly bearable, but fun at the same time....I don't know why. -Adam.

Port Dalhousie, ON @ My Cottage

Day time show. We arrived around 11am. The show was good, it was incredibly hot though. The stage had zero shade, so we felt the burn. The crowd could feel it too, it looked like they were either at a Celine Dion concert or incredibly lethargic from the heat and humidity, I don't know. They weren't bad, just still. Either way, it was good. -Adam.

Wow, thats a little harsh Adam. I thought the crowd was great, loud, and fun. Lots of dudes with no shirts looking very drunk and red. It was a Sunday in the afternoon so some folks were hangin' ... maybe thats what you thought. - Ryan

Hamilton, ON @ It's Your Festival - Gage Park

This was a really fun show. We got there in the afternoon, set up our gear, then went to hang out with a couple of our street team members at our local watering hole "Buddy's". Ate food, drank beer, headed back to the park. We played a great set. It's Hamilton, so all our friends came out. We met tons of people/fans....saying fans is weird....Anyways. Hung out after the show for a while, then went back to Buddy's....and eventually went back home. Great night! -Adam.
