Brad managed to put on a brave face and good show with one leg (see yesterday). After the show we hung out with Glen Humplik and Tom Green. Good guys. Glen, we all like your tattoo. Futuristic. We know you had it first. –Adam.

Montreal, Quebec @ Petit Campus with Lowest of the Low
Well, the only thing magnificent about this show was Brad twisting his ankle on stage two songs before the end of the set. I’ve known him a long time and he was definitely jacked up on serious pain! After we finished the song he twisted it during, he said into the mic “I really twisted my ankle, I don’t know if I can continue.” Then after a few second pause he said something like “A voice just whispered in my ear. You have to go on, play another song, do it for the people, they need your music, so here’s another. This song’s called That Day.” Even after serious injury he managed to joke “I must go on, the voice in my head. Here’s another.” After the set he was so bad I had to help him walk everywhere, even the bathroom. His foot and ankle tripled in size. About a week later he found out that he had torn two major ligaments in his ankle. Ouch! –Adam.

New York City, New York @ Piano's
This was my first time in New York. What a great city! It has an amazing vibe. We got to hang out with some friends, Eric and Nora. They showed us around town. The best place was this one Irish pub, McSorley’s. Anyways, all they had were two beers for $5, nothing else and there was only a choice of dark or light beer. No brand names. Dark or light. Simple. This is the oldest bar in the city and really looked it. On top of a chandelier they had dust coated wishbones that soldiers placed there before heading into WW1, in hopes of breaking them when they returned. I guess they didn’t make it back. Morbid and fantastic. Oh, and the show was a sort of showcase event for some record industry types.. it was a good show. We ended up sleeping in Jersey City. Our hotel room was literally blood soaked. Blood spatter on the walls, stains on the carpet. Always try to stay away from the top blanket; I don’t think they get washed very often. Gross/weird. –Adam.
