This is the strangest bar ever. Twin Peaks. They allow heavy underage drinking, so there are a bunch of messed up kids who have no idea of their limit yet falling all over the place, trying to get into fights and finger bangin’ each other in dark corners. Okay, to the show. We all drank far too much before our gig. This set the stage for the night. Brad, obviously not liking the crowd, began to sing “Fuck you Blackburn, you suck Blackburn, etc.” into the mic for entire songs. Then in between songs, was mocking them sarcastically saying things like “people say this town sucks, but I think it’s the pearl of the north. What a great place. We love you Blackburn.” After our set our manager Dan Brooks told us how much he thought we sucked. He was totally right. Musically it was the worst thing you’ve never heard. However it was entertaining, like watching a car accident. Later that night our guitar tech Paul got jumped in the bathroom and got his maglight (giant flashlight) cracked over his head and stolen. The night continued to ooze craziness and ended with a knife wielding maniac. Not us. –Adam, Ryan..

Bala, Ontario @ Kee to Bala w/ Default
There’s a cold going around right now and we all have it. This night was about as good as we feel. Our set was good though. The rest of the night sucked. When Ryan walked off stage a guy decked out in and all-American outfit (star spangled banner shirt, blue pants, America/Canada pin) came up to Ryan, grabbed him angrily and said “where’s your respect for the victims of 911, you didn’t even mention them.” Ryan replied “None of the other bands mentioned it either, why don’t you go attack them.. and I had no mic you idiot” That was the last we saw of Captain America. Nutter! –Adam.

Vancouver, BC @ Plaza of Nations with The Pixies
This was a great show. You can’t complain when you’re on a bill with one of your favorite bands. Not only is it great exposure to play for their fans, it’s fun. And, when you’re done you get to watch them….for free. Later this night some idiot tried to break into our van by throwing a big rock at the side window. The only problem is, he kept missing the window and hitting the door. You are an idiot. I hope you die soon. –Adam.

First of all, thanks Michael for letting us stay at you apartment. We took the Skytrain downtown, ate some good food at Lennox Pub, then went to Morrissey’s Pub for drinks with our good friend Curtis. We love this bar, every time we come to Vancouver we hit it. Later that night we took the Skytrain back to where we were staying and got lessons on the train from a middle aged Korean man on how to play Korean pattycake. Thanks! –Adam.
